Getting Married!

Ireland’s own Brian McFadden and Australia’s Delta Goodrem have announced their engagement.
The couple confirmed their engagement on Friday, amidst false reports Goodrem had turned down the proposal insisting she was “too young” to settle down.
Delta’s management issued a statement, saying, “The couple were hoping to keep the news private however they feel it is important to now confirm their exciting news.”
Goodrem began dating McFadden in 2004, before relocating from Australia to the U.K to live with the Irish star.
It is the second marriage for Brian - he has two young daughters with trainwreck Kerry Katona. Their marriage ended in 2004 after three torturous years.

Listen To This: New Ashlee Simpson!

Asslee Simpson has just dropped her new single, Outta My Head, and we’re loving it.
It’s sassy and rocky and was (surprisingly) produced by Timbaland.
It’s silly and fun and a tune you can dance to. Pluses in our book!
What do U think of Outta My Head????

Linkin Park Announce Plans For U.S. Tour

Multi-platinum rock act Linkin Park has announced plans for a much-buzzed-about U.S. tour with special guests Coheed & Cambria. The road jaunt is set to kick off February 12th at the Qwest Center in Omaha.

To intensify the live experience, Linkin Park is offering fans the option of purchasing a Digital Souvenir Package with their tickets, a groundbreaking promotion that provides concert-goers with a special post-gig memento: a live audio download of an entire show, exclusive concert photos and a digital tour program.

News of the tour follows a week in which Linkin Park solidified its position as one of the biggest rock bands in the world. As U.S. fans honored the group with an American Music Award ("Favorite Alternative Rock Artist"), the band was making history overseas as the first international rock group to perform at a stadium in China.

Touring in support of double-platinum-selling new album Minutes To Midnight, Linkin Park played to a sold-out crowd at the prestigious Shanghai Hongkou Stadium on Sunday, November 18th, wowing a packed house with a set list that showcased past and present hits.

Shanghai was the group's sole stop in Mainland China and followed a string of sold-out European, Asian and Australian dates along with a sold-out summer U.S. tour. It's no wonder they were named "Band of 2007" during the recent MTV Europe Music Awards.
In other band news, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda will be joining the likes of Quincy Jones and Akon to announce nominations for the 50th Annual Grammy Awards. The press conference will take place on Thursday, December 6th in Los Angeles.

Co-produced by the legendary Rick Rubin (U2, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda. Minutes To Midnight (Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros. Records) is the third studio release from Linkin Park, following Hybrid Theory (2000) and Meteora (2003). The album debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top 200 and sold 623,996 copies in its first week alone. Four weeks after its release, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales exceeding 1 million copies. The album has shipped over 4.2 million worldwide, reaching #1 in 32 countries, and is certified platinum in 19 countries. It's one of the highest-debuting albums of 2007.
New single and video "Shadow Of The Day" (currently #10 on the Modern Rock Chart) follows previous top ten Minutes To Midnight singles "What I've Done" (which hit #1 on the Modern Rock chart) and "Bleed It Out " (#2 on Modern Rock chart).

Tour dates are as follows:

interview with takehiko inoue (creator of slamdunk)

Takehiko Inoue, manga artist and the creator of Slam Dunk, arrived in New York City to paint a mural featuring characters from his other award-winning manga series, Vagabond. At just 40 years old, Inoue-sensei is a manga creator whose artistry and masterful storytelling has won him countless awards and fans around the world.

Inoue's mural painting event commemorated several events: the opening of the Books Kinokuniya Bryant Park store, and the late-summer release of his two basketball manga series, Slam Dunk and Real. VIZ Media will also release Inoue's two art books, Sumi and Water, plus a new omnibus edition of Vagabond in September 2008.

Dressed in low-key style in a soft black sweater and sneakers, Inoue-sensei was casual and friendly as he met and talked with several reporters. It's hard to explain, but as I watched him paint the finishing touches on his mural and mingle with well-wishers, he really did remind me of his manga characters: the street-smart athlete, the confident warrior, and the wise, easy-going monk.
I got a chance to chat with Inoue-sensei before he added the finishing touches on his mural, and we talked about his manga, his love for sports and his relationship with his readers.

Q: So when did you start working on this mural?
Takehiko Inoue: I started on Saturday.

Q: What made you decide to do this mural? It's a very unique project.
TI: Just because it seemed kind of interesting and fun to do. (Note: Inoue-sensei completed most of the mural in a few hours over the weekend and added only a few finishing touches on Monday at the VIP and press reception.)

Q: We'll talk about the Vagabond, the characters that were painted for this mural in a bit, but I wanted to begin by talking about the series that was your first major success, Slam Dunk. Slam Dunk was first published in America in 2002 by Raijin Comics. When they went out of business, Slam Dunk was in limbo for some time. What made you decide that to try again with VIZ?
TI: I thought it was a good idea to put it out again. Since Raijin had only put out five volumes, I thought it would make sense to put some space between that set of books before coming out with new editions.

Q: Slam Dunk is a manga about basketball, and I noticed in your bio that you played basketball in high school. What attracted you to the sport, and why draw a manga about basketball in particular?
TI: I joined the basketball club in high school. The situation for basketball in Japan is very different than it is in the United States, as far as popularity. But I started playing because I wanted to be popular with the girls (laughs).
As far as the manga, in Slam Dunk, I wanted to convey the feelings of winning and losing, how an athlete feels when they improve, get better at their sport.

Q: Your sports manga has a lot of fast-paced, high adrenaline action. You really feel like you're there on the court with the athletes, and you can't help but get swept up in their emotions as they play. How do you capture the spirit of the game so well?
TI: Basketball is one of my hobbies, so I'm always watching videos, reading magazines, looking at photos. But also, when I draw the manga, I'm drawing from my memories of playing, kind of like muscle memory. So I try to emphasize the little things that only a person who's played the game would know, like how it feels to hold the ball, how to shoot and how to handle the ball.

Q: One thing that people often mention about your storytelling is that you always include such great cliffhangers, that you pace your stories with a lot of compelling drama. Did that style of storytelling come naturally to you, or did you develop it over time?
TI: I've never studied it, but when you draw a weekly serial, a story that you draw week after week, at some point, you develop the ability to do this.

Q: Another thing people love about your stories is that your characters are so complex, so with three-dimensional personalities. Are they based on people you know? Do you have a particular favorite character that's close to your heart?
TI: A part of me is in each of my characters, so it's difficult to say that I have a particular favorite.

Q: My friend mentioned that she thought you looked like Takuan. (The monk from Vagabond)! (laughs)
TI: (laughs) A lot of people tell me that!

Q: You went from Slam Dunk, and then went on to draw Vagabond and Real. While Vagabond still has a lot of action, there's also a theme about Musashi's spiritual evolution as a person, not just his sword-fighting skills. Is this change of emphasis a reflection on your personal evolution as well?
TI: Yes, right. I wrote Slam Dunk when I was in my twenties. I had a simpler perspective on life when I was younger. At that time, my goals were more about winning and success. Now that I'm older, I know there's more to life than that.

Q: All of your male characters, from Slam Dunk, Real and Vagabond are very masculine, and your stories are very much from a guy's perspective for guys, primarily. Did it surprise you that your stories attract so many female fans as well?
TI: I've always had a lot of female fans for my work, so it wasn't too much of a surprise.

Q: Your manga did a lot to make basketball more popular in Japan. What is basketball like now in Japan, compared to America?
TI: Right after the manga came out, middle school and high school basketball clubs in Japan saw an increase in membership. But there's not much change at the top levels of the game, no significant pro leagues like there are in America, no stand-out superstar.
I think that the basketball association in Japan is perhaps not putting enough effort into promoting the sport in Japan. But that's just my personal opinion as a fan. (laughs)

The New "HILLARY-HAYLIE"

Disney star Ashley Tisdale took her actor sibling Jennifer to the premiere of High School Musical on ice this weekend in LA.
Ignore what they’re wearing.
The real question is….
Which one is Hilary and which one is Haylie?????!!!

She Be Rollin'!!!

Damn, The Tiz got some sick wheels!
High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale was seen getting out of her car on Friday. Her Porsche!!!
Who knew Disney paid that well????
The Tiz met up with BFF and HSM co-star Vanessa Hudgens for lunch at Jinki’s restaurant in Studio City.
We hope Ashley is being wise with her money!

Back For More

Despite her recent underage naked picture scandal, Vanessa Hudgens is coming back for the feature film version of Disney’s High School Musical, the third installment in the franchise, Us Weekly is reporting.
And, she got a raise too!
Nice to see that Disney is so forgiving.
All of the other leads are coming back for HSM 3, the mag says, INCLUDING Zacquisha.

More proof on Her Insanity

A typical big-budget music video takes about 2 or 3 days to film. Britney Spears is going to attempt to do it in just two HOURS!
The struggling pop star is set to film a music video for her next single, Piece Of Me, on Tuesday the 27th of November.
The shoot will begin at 8 a.m. at the restaurant/lounge Social Hollywood. Wayne Isham, who helmed the video for the Spears’ 2002 hit I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, will direct.
A set source, however, tells Us Weekly that since Unfitney has a scheduled visit with her kids on Tuesday, she will only be available to film for two hours, between noon and 2 p.m.
Ha ha ha!
This vid will be even more of a mess than the one for Gimme More!
During her two hours on set, Brit Brit will shoot scenes where she dances on a bar and runs down a staircase. Exciting stuff.
There will be 15 extras, as well as a body double for Brit.
Why is Britney even bothering??? She obviously doesn’t care anymore!

Idols Sink To The Bottom

The American Idol phenomenon has cooled down a lot lately. Last season’s ratings were down from a series high the year before, and now comes word that their summer concert tour was a big bomb.
Blame it on Sangina!
The majority of the shows on the American Idols Live tour were half empty or EVEN WORSE.
Idol’s gonna have to spice things up this coming season to spike the ratings!

Becks on Becks

David Beckham was a guest on ITV’s This Morning on Monday and he gave a very interesting interview.
Basically, he talked about how U.S. soccer sucks in comparison to play in the U.K. or Spain, his kids adopting an American accent, Victoria, his famous friends, his love of Disneyland, the Spice Girls reunion and much more.

how i made temari's costume player???

How I Made It:I took a kimono pattern and used that to make Temaris kimono. I made the glove patterns myself (and they weren't all that great x_X). I made the shoes myself (which were very fun. Glue gun! :D) but unfortunately, they're maybe a size or two bigger than my feet. I created my obi a bit bigger than normal (in width) but I just doubled it onto itself, so now I have a pocket in it so I can put junk in it and I won't have to worry about it falling out. xD I created the red thingies that are around her shoulders with spare material from my obi, and I can use the red rope thing to hold my fan.Mm..My fan... I made it twice. $60 down the drain. The first time I bought the fan, I painted it with fabric paint. Every time it opened, it made a horrible cracking sound. I decided to try spray painting the fan after I had seen someone else do it and it worked. It doesn't crack at all so I used that fan. I also created a smaller fan (which smells of paint xD) to accompany me.Ah... the wig... mmm.. I took a normal, straight haired wig to be Temaris hair. I gave it some bangs which it didn't have and had one hell of a time adjusting the hair for her pony tails. Since I don't have a head stand thing, I used my mother and myself. x: I also tried to add extra hair since the wig cap showed, but was too afraid to attempt it because the extra hair I bought wasn't good so I just adjusted it a bit to hide the cap. My wig is flammable.And... the headband... xD I didn't want to buy one from Hot Topic because theirs are too big and they don't bend. I wanted to buy one online, but it was too late so I had options. Either make it out of aluminum from a soda can (and risk dangers) or create it out of clay. I created it out of clay and put sclupey glaze over it to give it a shine (which I also used on my fans handle since I painted over the white). My friend doesn't like it much. She thinks it's latex xD

That Death Note books have been siezed in Beijing is old news, and the terrifying follow-up of a "Kira" kiler in Belgium certainly didn't help the widely-acclaimed series' reputation with parents and educators. Now NBC12-- who, yes, needs to learn how to spell "Japan" --reports that a high school senior in Virginia has been suspended because he wrote classmates' names down in a book he called his "Death Note," and an investigation is pending as well. An investigation into what, exactly, I'm not sure...

Bonus material. Hot shower scenes! Zac in spandex! Getting lost at the bathhouse! Getting hazed by his frat brothers!
Oops, wrong movie. We need to see that one!
